Skanska to Build USD 84 Million Data Center in Georgia
Skanska has signed an USD 84 million contract to build a data center in Georgia, USA. The value is approximately SEK 780 million and will be included in Skanska’s US order bookings for the third quarter of 2026.
48 MW Data Center
The project will cover approximately 22,700 square meters, or 244,730 square feet. It will include five colocation data halls and administrative space designed for a total capacity of 48 MW.
Skanska will deliver a wide range of construction and technical works. These include civil and structural construction, utilities, electrical and mechanical systems, security, interior amenities and fit-out.
In addition, the contract covers commissioning of major equipment through project completion.
Construction Starts in November
Work is scheduled to begin in November 2026. The project is expected to reach completion in the third quarter of 2028.
The contract is with an existing Skanska client and further expands the company’s involvement in the US data center market.
