Turner has achieved the Turner healthcare construction manager ranking as the nation’s leading healthcare construction manager, according to Modern Healthcare.
This marks the 25th time in the last 29 years that Turner has received the publication’s top recognition. The ranking is based on healthcare construction volume completed during the previous year.
Delivering complex healthcare projects
The recognition highlights Turner’s ability to deliver advanced healthcare facilities that support patient care, clinical operations and future healthcare needs.
In 2025, Turner completed more than $4 billion in healthcare construction projects. One major achievement was The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center University Hospital, completed through a joint venture with Walsh Construction.
The 1.9-million-square-foot facility represents the largest single-facility construction project in Ohio State’s history. It expands the university’s capabilities in medical research, clinical training and patient care.
A century of healthcare expertise
Turner completed its first hospital project in 1925. Since then, the company has worked with healthcare organizations to build hospitals, cancer centres, medical office buildings, research facilities and specialty care centres.
Many Turner employees also have personal connections to these projects because they and their families have received care in facilities they helped construct.
Current healthcare projects
Turner is currently delivering several major healthcare developments, including:
- Baptist Health Sunrise Hospital – Sunrise, Florida
- Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center – Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania
- Northern Chautauqua Hospital – Fredonia, New York
- Kenneth C. Griffin Pavilion at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center – New York, New York
- Henry Ford Health Destination Grand – Detroit, Michigan
Building the future of healthcare
Turner Senior Vice President Randy Keiser said healthcare organizations depend on construction partners to create environments that improve patient care and community health.
The company combines healthcare expertise with digital planning, virtual design and construction, prefabrication, engineering and supply chain solutions.
As a result, Turner helps healthcare providers maintain operations during construction while preparing facilities for evolving models of care.
