AECOM to provide engineering, environmental, and regulatory services for microreactor deployment

LOS ANGELES (August 26, 2025) — AECOM, the trusted global infrastructure leader, today announced it has been selected by NANO Nuclear Energy Inc. (NASDAQ: NNE) to provide engineering, environmental, and regulatory services in support the construction permit application for the KRONOS MMR™, a next-generation microreactor designed to provide clean, resilient energy at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC).

Initial activities at the UIUC site include technical feasibility studies, environmental assessments, permitting and licensing support, and coordination with regulatory agencies. The project is expected to serve as a national demonstration of microreactor deployment on a university campus, offering a model for future applications across academic, commercial, and defense sectors.
