NFDC Appoints Brian Carroll as New Operations Director to Drive Industry Excellence

The National Federation of Demolition Contractors (NFDC) has announced the appointment of Brian Carroll as NFDC Operations Director. This newly created, pivotal role is designed to support the Federation’s ongoing development, strengthen member engagement, and drive operational excellence across the entire organisation.

In tandem with this role, Carroll has also been appointed as Training Manager at the National Demolition Training Group (NDTG). This dual appointment creates a powerful bridge between operational priorities and the demolition industry’s training and competence agenda.

Strategic Focus on Operational Growth and Standards

As Operations Director, Carroll will be instrumental in delivering the NFDC’s strategic priorities. His focus will center on:

  • Improving operational systems and internal processes.
  • Enhancing member services to ensure continuous, clear value for the federation.
  • Promoting high standards across competence, compliance, safety, quality, and professionalism in the demolition sector.
  • Supporting the leadership team and key stakeholders to foster continuous improvement.

This strategic appointment underscores the NFDC’s unwavering commitment to raising industry benchmarks and remaining highly responsive to an evolving demolition and construction landscape.

Leadership Insights on the Appointment

Adrian Corrigan, President of the NFDC, commented:

“Brian brings with him a strong understanding of the demolition industry, our members, and the importance of maintaining high standards across everything we do as a Federation. His appointment as Operations Director is an important step in strengthening NFDC’s operational delivery and supporting the continued development of services that bring real value to our members.”

“Brian’s additional appointment as Training Manager at NDTG will support the ongoing alignment between industry operations, workforce development and competence. This will help ensure that training continues to reflect the real needs of demolition contractors, clients and the wider sector.”

Speaking on his new role, Brian Carroll stated:

“I welcome the opportunity to support the Federation at such an important time for the industry. The NFDC has a vital role to play in promoting high standards, supporting members and helping the wider construction sector understand what good demolition planning and delivery looks like. I look forward to fully supporting the Senior Leadership Team and members to build on the Federation’s strong foundations.”

Driving the Future of UK Demolition

Carroll’s dual leadership across both the NFDC and the NDTG reinforces a unified focus on strong leadership, workforce development, and operational improvement. Moving forward, the Federation remains dedicated to promoting safe, competent, and highly professional demolition practices across the UK.
