VINCI Construction wins a contract to design and build a new waste-to-energy plant in Corrèze

VINCI Construction has been awarded a contract by Veolia for the design and construction of a new household-waste-to-energy plant located near Brive-la-Gaillarde in Corrèze, France. This €100 million project, set to take 51 months to complete, will replace the existing plant and significantly enhance its environmental efficiency. The new plant will have a treatment capacity of 79,000 tonnes per year (equivalent to 10 tonnes per hour), serving the waste needs of approximately 200,000 residents.

The new facility will integrate latest-generation processing systems, including advanced technology for flue gas treatment, ensuring that it meets modern environmental standards. The electricity and heat generated by the plant will be used to power local industrial and community facilities, contributing to the region’s sustainable energy efforts.

The project will create nearly 200 direct jobs at the peak of its activity, highlighting VINCI Construction’s expertise in waste-to-energy systems. The company has previously worked on similar projects across France, including in Saint-Ouen-l’Aumône, Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, Nice, and Ivry-sur-Seine.
