Eiffage Spain Wind Farm Contracts Boost Renewable Energy

Projects in Castile and León will deliver 270 MW of renewable capacity and create 330 construction jobs

Eiffage has secured two major renewable energy infrastructure contracts in Spain through its subsidiary Eiffage Energía Sistemas. The agreements, awarded by Capital Energy, are valued at more than €80 million and cover the construction of key infrastructure for two onshore wind farms in the Castile and León region.

The Eiffage Spain wind farm contracts will support a combined renewable capacity of 270 megawatts (MW) and are scheduled for completion in 2027.

Terrer Wind Farm Complex – €53 Million Investment

The larger of the two contracts, representing nearly €53 million in investment, concerns the Terrer wind farm complex.

The scope of work includes:

  • Construction of a transformer substation
  • Installation of a high-voltage transmission power line

This infrastructure will enable the transmission of electricity generated by the Pedrecha, San Cristóbal and Cabezuelas wind farms, which together will deliver approximately 150 MW of installed capacity.

The project is expected to be completed in 2027.

Canales Sur Wind Farm – 120 MW Capacity

The second contract, valued at €27 million, covers the Canales Sur wind farm, which will have an installed capacity of 120 MW.

Under this agreement, Eiffage Energía Sistemas will be responsible for:

  • Engineering and design
  • Equipment supply
  • Construction and commissioning of electrical installations
  • Building the transformer substation
  • Installing an underground high-voltage transmission line

Handover of the completed site is also scheduled for 2027.

Economic and Strategic Impact

During the construction phase, the two projects are expected to generate approximately 330 direct jobs.

Beyond their economic contribution, the projects strengthen the role of Eiffage Energía Sistemas as a strategic partner in delivering high-value renewable energy infrastructure in Spain. The contracts further reinforce Spain’s ongoing expansion of onshore wind capacity as part of its broader energy transition objectives.
