AECOM has secured an AECOM CPS2 Framework appointment with the UK Government Commercial Agency (GCA) Construction Professional Services 2 (CPS2) Framework.
The framework has a total value of $4.7 billion and provides a key procurement route for UK public sector organizations. It supports construction, professional and technical services across sectors including education, housing, energy and healthcare.
Expanded role across public sector projects
This marks AECOM’s second appointment to the four-year framework. The company previously joined the original framework in 2021.
However, AECOM has expanded its position this time by securing nine lots, compared with five in the previous framework.
The successful lots cover areas such as:
- General infrastructure
- Project management
- Defence
- Enhanced defence services
- International projects
- Nuclear energy
- Flood risk and asset management
Supporting UK infrastructure priorities
AECOM President Lara Poloni said the CPS2 Framework creates an important route for delivering multidisciplinary services across major sectors.
She noted that the additional lots, especially nuclear energy and flood risk management, reflect the growing demand for AECOM’s technical expertise.
Richard Whitehead, chief executive of AECOM’s Europe & India region, added that the appointment strengthens the company’s relationship with UK public sector clients.
Through the framework, AECOM will support government departments, local authorities and agencies in addressing infrastructure and built environment challenges.
Delivering long-term value
The GCA became operational in April 2026 by bringing together commercial expertise from several government teams and Crown Commercial Services.
As a result, the agency provides a more integrated approach to public sector procurement.
AECOM will continue delivering advisory, planning, design, engineering, programme management and construction services to help create sustainable and resilient infrastructure across the UK.
