Atlas Copco Acquires LusoAr in Portugal Expansion

Atlas Copco Group has acquired LusoAr, a compressor distributor based in Porto, Portugal, strengthening its service network and expanding its presence in the Portuguese market.

LusoAr supplies air compressors, air treatment systems, compressed air installations and maintenance services to large and medium-sized industrial customers across northern Portugal.

As part of the acquisition, nine employees from LusoAr will join Atlas Copco Group. However, the companies did not disclose the financial terms of the deal.

“We are happy to welcome LusoAr to the Group and note that this further expands our presence in Portugal to the benefit of our customers,” said Philippe Ernens, Business Area President, Compressor Technique.

Following the acquisition, LusoAr will become part of the Service Division within Atlas Copco’s Compressor Technique Business Area.

The acquisition supports Atlas Copco’s strategy to strengthen its service capabilities and enhance customer support across key industrial markets. Moreover, the expanded local presence will help the company provide faster service and technical expertise to customers throughout northern Portugal.
