Doosan Robotics Expands in Southeast Asia with 300 Collaborative Robots

Signs MOU with Thai Integrator VRNJ for Large-Scale Supply

Doosan Robotics has announced a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with VRNJ, a leading robotic system integrator in Thailand, for the supply of 300 collaborative robots across Southeast Asia. Under this agreement, Doosan Robotics will deliver units from its A, H, M, and P series over the next two years, with an initial confirmed order of 60 units.

Strengthening Market Presence in Southeast Asia

This collaboration aims to expand Doosan Robotics’ footprint in key Southeast Asian markets, including Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam. The two companies will work together to develop customized automation solutions for manufacturing applications, enhancing efficiency in parts finishing, palletizing, inspection, and pick & place automation.

Driving Automation in Manufacturing

Doosan Robotics has already supplied collaborative robots (cobots) to major companies like Toyota, demonstrating their effectiveness in streamlining production processes. One of their cobots is currently performing stapling processes at BKF Aerospace in Thailand, showcasing their adaptability in various industries.

CEO’s Vision for Expansion

Ryu Jeong-hoon, CEO of Doosan Robotics, emphasized that Southeast Asia is now the second-largest manufacturing hub after China, with a rising demand for automation and worker safety. He stated, “As businesses increasingly prioritize productivity and worker safety, demand for cobots is rising, particularly at the factory setup stage. We will strengthen our collaboration with VRNJ and intensify marketing efforts to establish a strong foundation for large-scale orders in the region.”

Through this strategic partnership and aggressive market expansion, Doosan Robotics is positioning itself as a key player in the Southeast Asian automation industry, paving the way for further growth and innovation.
