STRABAG SE has secured a major STRABAG Slovenia infrastructure contract worth €194 million to deliver a critical section of the country’s Northern Corridor. The project will complete the final missing link of the 3rd Development Axis between Velenje and Slovenj Gradec.

Led by STRABAG d.o.o., the consortium will construct a 2.1 km expressway along with extensive supporting infrastructure. The company holds a 60% share in the contract, awarded by DARS d.d..

The STRABAG Slovenia infrastructure contract includes several complex engineering elements. These additions will significantly improve regional mobility and road safety.

Key components include:

  • 2.1 km of new expressway
  • 552 m two-lane viaduct
  • 1,120 m of cut-and-cover tunnels
  • 231 m railway underpass
  • Temporary 280 m railway deviation
  • Two interchanges (Velenje and Škale)
  • 3.9 km of bypass and service roads
  • Five junctions and noise barriers
