Westcourt Orlando Mixed-Use Development Moves Forward
The 900,000-square-foot project will include a Kimpton hotel, residential towers, Class A office space, retail outlets, and a live entertainment venue.
In addition, developers aim to create a walkable entertainment and business district in downtown Orlando.
The project will also improve connectivity around one of the city’s largest sports and entertainment hubs.
Turner Construction Expands Urban Development Portfolio
Jeff Justen said the project requires coordination across multiple building types and construction trades.
Furthermore, he noted that Turner will rely on a strong Central Florida workforce to complete the development.
Early site activity has already started, and the project team is now preparing for full construction mobilization.
Mixed-Use Projects Continue Driving Urban Growth
Across the United States, mixed-use developments continue reshaping urban growth strategies.
Developers increasingly combine hotels, offices, residential units, entertainment venues, and retail facilities into integrated districts.
As a result, cities can support tourism, business activity, and downtown revitalization more effectively.
The Westcourt Orlando mixed-use development also reflects rising investment in sports-adjacent real estate and entertainment-focused infrastructure.
Project Expected to Create Regional Jobs
Construction activity is expected to generate major economic benefits across Central Florida.
At peak construction, the site could support around 800 onsite workers.
In total, the project may create nearly 1,600 direct construction jobs during the development cycle.
Additionally, local subcontractors and trade partners are expected to play a major role throughout the project.
